The Subcommittee meeting will consider suggested themes for to the 2017 Environment Assembly (UNEA-3) presented to Member States in accordance with the joint decision of the Bureaus of the United Nations Environment Assembly and the Bureau of the Committee of Permanent Representatives made on 27-28 of October 2016 in Nairobi during the 2017 Environment Assembly Preparatory Retreat.
The Committee of Permanent Representatives is led by a five-member bureau, elected for a period of two years. Each bureau member represents one of the five UN regional groups of Member States, the current Chair of the Committee of Permanent Representatives is H.E. Ms. Julia Pataki, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Romania to UN Environment.
