Waste and Climate Change Project: Action Prioritization Workshop

A workshop on the “Prioritization of activities within the national and city level waste management improvement strategies and action plans” was successfully organized in Ulaanbaatar on 10 October 2017 by The Asia Foundation Mongolian office. The workshop gathered more than 35 representatives of the Ministry of Environment and Tourism of Mongolia, the Ulaanbaatar City Mayor’s office, other government and non-governmental organizations, as well as business entities which actively support and work on improving the solid waste management in the country. As a result of the meeting, 56 activities under the Mongolia and Ulaanbaatar Waste Management Improvement Strategies and Action Plans have been prioritized.

The workshop is part of the Waste and Climate Change project, funded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) of the Federal Republic of Germany and UN Environment International Environmental Technology Centre (IETC).
