UNEA Exhibition Request Form

  • All exhibit requests are subject to review for thematic relevance, regional, sectoral and gender representation, visual interests and other logistical and safety considerations by UNEP. The exhibits will be selected by UNEP Senior Management. Preference will be given to proposals that are highly relevant to the UNEA-2 themes and the proposed resolutions. The overarching themes of UNEA-2 are “Delivering on the environmental dimension of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” and “Healthy Environment, Healthy People”.
  • All exhibitors are encouraged to add elements of dynamism, interactivity and innovation in their designs.
  • Any use of United Nations premises must be in keeping with the dignity of the Organization. Exhibits must be consistent with the purposes and principles of the United Nations and must be non-commercial in nature. Goods or services may not be advertised or sold on United Nations premises and the promotion of any commercial entity is not permitted, unless specifically authorized.
  • There is free Wi-Fi on the compound and standard electricity requirements will be provided for at no charge.
  • Any other exhibit facility, including laptop computers, screens, sound system, mounting brackets for screens, special lighting requirements, special energy requirements will be sourced via DCPI from UNON Conference Services or external providers. Organizers are required to cover complete cost of their exhibit including the cost of items listed on 'Exhibit Facilities'.

Selection Criteria:

  • Complete a one-page (or two-page) proposal with a description of the exhibit, its purpose, targeted participants and expected impact;
  • Relevance to the overarching UNEA-2 theme as well as to UNEA-1 and UNEA-2 resolutions;
  • Novelty (new theme or approach compared to UNEA-1);
  • Regional diversity;
  • No additional cost for UNEP (organizers are required to cover the event’s cost).


  • Start of application process: 18 December 2015
  • End of application process: 31 January  2016
  • Selection will be communicated early February 2016
